Movement, turning, and attacking are painfully slow, as are reloading weapons. The Zaku you start out with isn’t the most graceful machines and they don’t do anything quickly. You have a team to depend on, and you can command them to attack targets that are weak against your damage by pressing “O”. You may be tempted to switch it out due to the slow speed, but don’t. It can inflict splash damage on multiple enemies while also inflicting significant damage on single targets (within the damage triangle I discussed above). While the bazooka you start out with may seem slow, and it is, it is also powerful. To equip these items, open up the customization screen on the melee you have selected, click on the Custom Parts field, and then you’ll be able to add these items.ĭo not forget to equip these, as these can be the difference between success or failing a mission. These items will range from increasing your damage resistance, increasing your melee and ranged damage, adding extra hit points, and more. Before every sortie, you’ll have the option to customize your mobile suit, and it’s here that you can not only switch up your weapons but also equip these items. The problem is that the game doesn’t do a good job of letting you know what these are or that you can equipment, so you’ll have to do some experimenting. Throughout the game, you’ll be rewarded items that can be used to enhance your mobile suit. Learning which suits you can damage quickly versus wasting your ammo is a time saver.Įventually, you’ll gain access to other Mobiel Suits, but the damage triangle doesn’t change. Most of which are General, which you are weak against. At the start of the game, you are given a Raid-type Zaku, and the missions will throw a variety of enemies at you. Understanding these types is essential in dishing out damage instead of wasting your time. There are several types of Mobile Suits in the game Raid, General, and Support. Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy’s damage system is based around what I call the “Damage Triangle” and is vital to progression. Keep in mind this is just a Beginners Guide, and there is more to the game than just this, but by then, you won’t need our help anymore. Thankfully, we have a few points to get you into fighting form and make the Federation (ESFS) regret their decision to attack As such, it goes back to the beginning of mobile suit combat and isn’t friendly to newcomers to the series. Also remember that because of the cost system, high-value pulls like the Zock aren’t always going to be usable.Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy is the latest Gundam game available for the PS4 and PS5, based in the Universal Century (UC) Gundam timeline. It should be noted that while items may be exclusive to the loot box system when they are introduced, they will make their way to the DP store eventually. This is when you should be spending your tokens, especially if you are not actively playing every day. However usually, at least once a month, a special banner will pop up that offers a 10 pull for 15 tokens. Normally a single pull is 3 tokens, while a 10 pull is 30 tokens, meaning there’s rarely an advantage to either method. While the game does hand out 3 tokens a day for the gacha system through daily missions, it’s best to wait. Only spend if you want to support the developers, and even then it should only be on the starting pack bundle that’s like 10 dollars. There’s a high chance you’re just going to end up with junk you don’t want and effectively waste your money. It should go without saying, but don’t spend money on them in order to get a specific mobile suit/weapon/part/cosmetic. Unfortunately, Bandai Namco has to make money somewhere, and so Battle Operation 2 uses a loot box system.
